  • The problem you want to solve: CADR applies to particles, not gases or odors. Particle filtration and gas or odor filtration are different functions.

An air cleaner is most useful when it supports—not replaces—cleaning and pet-access decisions. It can reduce airborne particles while operating, but it does not erase the allergen cycle in textiles and dust.

Make the Next Change Where Exposure is Highest

Shift the goal from “getting rid of pet hair” to reducing an ongoing cycle of allergens moving between pets, air, clothing, dust, and soft surfaces.

Start by cleaning the main reservoirs in your highest-use room. Then protect a bedroom or other long-use space if someone in the household is sensitive. Keep the routine consistent, and use a room-sizing and filter-maintenance guide before evaluating a portable particle-filtration option.
