How can I help my cat adjust to an automatic litter box?

Place the new box near the old one, leave automatic cleaning off at first and add a small amount of familiar used litter. Keep the old box available until your cat uses the new one consistently.

How often should I empty and deep-clean the litter box?

Check the waste bin daily and empty it before it becomes full. The SC01, SC02 and SC09 manuals suggest changing liners every 3–5 days; deep-clean washable parts about every 1–3 months or sooner when needed.

How does Meowant help control litter box odor?

Meowant models separate waste into an enclosed bin or drawer and use deodorizing components to reduce odor. Regular emptying, fresh clumping litter and good room ventilation also improve odor control.

Can multiple family members control the same litter box?

Yes. A litter box is linked to one primary account, which can share device access with family members through the app.

Will the litter box still work without Wi-Fi or when the app is unavailable?

Yes. Basic cleaning functions can still be operated using the controls on the litter box. Wi-Fi is required for app features such as remote controls, schedules, notifications and usage records.

Can kittens use a Meowant automatic litter box?

Only after meeting the model’s minimum age and weight. The SC01, SC02 and SC09 require cats to be at least 4 months old and about 3–3.3 lbs; the SC03 requires cats to be over 6 months and 3.3 lbs. Use manual mode for smaller kittens.

Which Meowant litter box is best for large cats or Maine Coons?

The SC09 supports cats up to 30 lbs and provides a large enclosed space. The SC10 offers an extended open-top design with more headroom and easier access for tall or long-bodied cats.

How many cats can use one Meowant automatic litter box?

Multiple cats can share one litter box, but it will need more frequent emptying. For households with three or more cats, Meowant recommends using at least two litter boxes.

What happens if my cat enters or approaches during a cleaning cycle?

The cleaning cycle pauses or stops when the sensors detect a cat, additional weight or a nearby object. It resumes after the cat leaves and the area is clear.

Is the Meowant automatic litter box safe during a cleaning cycle?

Yes. Meowant models use weight sensors, infrared sensors and/or motor protection to detect cats or obstructions and stop unsafe movement. Always follow the model’s age and weight requirements.

How much litter do I need to put in at first?

Inside the drum, there is an indicator line that allows you to dump the litter flush with the line.

Does the machine need the internet to work?

No, it can operate without an internet connection. The automatic cleaning process begins one minute after the cat departs from the litter box. Downloading the app will unlock additional features.

Do cats carry litter when they come out of the litter box?

Cats typically have a small amount of litter stuck to their paws after using the litter box. Therefore, we recommend using a litter mat at the entrance of the litter box (please do not place the machine directly on the litter mat).

Is it possible to control the same machine with two different phones?

Yes, it is. After both phones download the app, they can share the machine by using the machine's ID.
